React

Also known as: React.js, ReactJS

Definition

React is a JavaScript library for building user interfaces using a component-based architecture. Created by Facebook in 2013, it's now the most widely used frontend library, powering everything from small components to massive applications.

Simple Explanation

React works by letting you build UIs out of small, reusable 'components.' Each component manages its own state and renders as HTML. When state changes, React figures out exactly what needs to update and does it efficiently (virtual DOM).

Real-World Use Case

A dashboard with charts, tables, and filters. Each is a React component that updates independently when data changes.
